SCC: Test the Failover

When we have both the Master And Shadow up and running in separate VM, it will look like this at the BTP level:

Now, let's assume there is some issue with the Master, and it got stopped (for testing purposes, we can manually stop the master SCC):

As soon as you stop the master SCC, you will see the BTP level SCC no longer exists.

As the failover will take almost 60 seconds as per our previous configurations in Shadow SCC

After 60 seconds, when you check the BTP level cloud connector details, it will look like below.

Here you can see, that we do only have a single Cloud Connector available, which is also the Shadow became the Master now.

How did we get this is the shadow that became the master?

Answer: Just compare the SCC version :)

Again start the Master SCC:

Now, we can swap to the original SCC with the corresponding roles

Validate the same at BTP level now
