SDI Implementation [Hands-On]

Please consult with your Organization Network/Security Team while securing your Virtual Machine (where we will install DP Agent) which will be used to connect to HANA Cloud and Your Backend System.

Network Security and Firewall Rules setup are out of scope for this training.

But you must work with the Network team in real-world projects to make your systems secure.

Create AWS EC2 Machine (VM)

Login to the AWS Console:

Launch a t2. micro EC2 instance:

Choose Windows Machine:

Create a New Key Pair:

Save .pem file in your Machine:

Network Settings (Security Group):

Final Review and Launch Instance:

Login to the EC2 VM:

Download SDI DP Agent:

Install DP Agent in EC2 VM:

Start DP Agent Service:

Configure DP Agent with Adaptors and Connect to HANA Cloud:

CREATE USER DBADMIN2 PASSWORD Password123 NO FORCE_FIRST_PASSWORD_CHANGE SET USERGROUP DEFAULT;
GRANT CATALOG READ TO DBADMIN2 WITH ADMIN OPTION;
GRANT CREATE SCHEMA TO DBADMIN2 WITH ADMIN OPTION;
GRANT CREATE REMOTE SOURCE TO DBADMIN2 WITH ADMIN OPTION;
GRANT ADAPTER ADMIN TO DBADMIN2 WITH ADMIN OPTION;
GRANT AGENT ADMIN TO DBADMIN2 WITH ADMIN OPTION;
